Not good enough George!

George Newhouse is the ALP candidate in my electorate, running against Malcolm Turnbull. He has solid credentials for the job, but why are ALL the videos on his YouTube channel Newhouse4Wentworth a technical JOKE.

The content may be good, but who knows. No-one is going to watch for more than a few seconds with this crap sound and vision.

Seriously, what is the point of posting a black & white photo with nearly 2 minutes of radio ads repeated behind it. Boys, ya gotta do better than this, especially when he's had such a prominent career.

More and more candidates introducing themselves

For example Acacia Rose, Indpendent for Eden Monaro, and RichardMarles ALP for Corio. But the YouTube quality is often poor, and it doesn't need to be - videos can be easily optimised for online viewing. Otherwise they'll only get 10 seconds of attention...

Bob Hawke speaks up for George Newhouse, Malcolm Turnbull's ALP opponent

Not the strongest start by George Newhouse, human rights lawyer and Malcolm Turnbull's Labor opponent in Wentworth (Sydney).

There's a new testimonial video from Bob Hawke, but comments are disabled as is the ability to embed it elsewhere - like here. It doesn't appear to be from an official campaign source. Is the campaign office in charge of this?

The MySpace Australian Election page

Here's the MySpace Impact page where Federal politicians are adding their names. It will be interesting to see what type of 'friends' they attract (and approve). Not many at this stage and no sign of an equivalent Facebook page.

Links on the page include the Young Liberals (with a Google ad on their page for laser hair removal) and Young Labor (their page has an ad for TheLoveCalculator.com). Overall impression: self-conscious.
